 Library Card: A library card.

  • How can I get a Library Card?   

    Pick up an application from the Circulation Desk or print a copies of the two forms by clicking Page 1 and Page 2.    

    To open a Mountain Home Library borrower’s account, you will need to provide proof of your current address, phone number, and a valid form of ID.   If your ID doesn't list a correct address, you can use a current rent receipt or a bill that has been mailed to you.  

    Fact A card is needed to check items out or log onto library computers

    Fact - Those under 18 will need a parent or guardian present to provide information and sign for their card

    Fact - If others use your library card, you may lose your privileges

Library Card - Residence inside the City Limits   No Fee 
Library Card - Residence outside City Limits  1 month - $ 4.17 + tax
 3 month - $12.51 + tax
 6 month - $25.02 + tax
 9 month - $37.53 + tax
Per Year  - $50.00 + tax 
Student Rate Library Card - for K-12th grade students 
who reside outside the City Limits and do not obtain a
family card
(Limited to Juvenile Dept. circulation only) 
 $3.00 per year per student + tax
Senior LifeTime Card - Age 65 and over  No Fee

Fact - Your Mountain Home Public Library Card card can be used at Lynx Consortium libraries

With no courier service to and from Consortium sites at this time, Mountain Home cardholders agree to:

  • Return Mountain Home items only to the Mountain Home Public Library at 790 North 10th East in Mountain Home.  

  • Pick up and return Consortium items to the library that owns those items.
  • Place hold requests only at the library that owns the material.
  • Circulation or Interlibrary Loan of current year items may be restricted.  For more information, ask at the Circulation Desk.  




  • What if I lose my Library Card?

    Lost cards and change of address should be reported immediately.  To protect your account, contact the Library at 587-4716 and we can help you make necessary changes.  

               Fact - Replacement card sets are $3 each

  • The chart above describes Mountain Home's circulation periods and late or replacement fees.  Some materials can be renewed at least once unless another patron has placed a hold on the item.  Be sure to avoid fines by checking your account information often. Take care of your library account in any of the following ways:

    In Person:   You may pay fines in Mountain Home or at any of the LYNX! Consortium sites.  If you have other charges, please work with the orginating library to clear your account

    By Internet:   You may renew some items one time by going to My 
    Account
     from the Catalog and entering your library barcode number and PIN.  If you’ve forgotten your pin, call the Library at 587-4716.  Once your information is displayed choose Items Out and follow screen instructions.
    If you would like the library staff to demonstrate the process, drop by
    the Circulation Desk.

    By TeleCirc:   384-4450 contacts the Lynx Consortium 24 hour 
    automated system.  Enter your library barcode and PIN, and listen for 
    instructions.




  • Can I access the card catalog from places other than the library?

    The Mountain Home Public Library’s collection, as well as materials owned by other libraries in the Lynx Consortium, can be accessed through an online catalog.  Use a library computer or a home system to find items or manage your borrwer’s account.  Simply connect through our website at
    www.mhlibrary.org and click on Catalog.   
    Have your library card barcode and pin number handy to acces your account online.
