The library reserves two computer stations for Seniors.  Give us a call to find out how you can access email, surf the web, or use  software at the Senior lab.

The Mountain Home Public Library is simple to navigate with wheelchair accessibility and signed parking for an easy entrance.  We offer a free Senior Lifetime Library Card for those over the age of 65.

Listen or read through the large selection of Large Print Books, CD's, Audios, or eAudiobooks.  Check the library catalog for your favorites.
We have players for loan and the staff will be happy to help you get acquainted with the equipment.  
There is a wide variety of mysteries, westerns, and "Old Time Radio Shows" featuring Jimmy Stewart, Jack Benny, Red Skelton, Lucille Ball, Bob Hope, Bing Crosby, Burns and Allen, Fibber McGee & Molly, and others.  

                                    


Talking Book Service @ Idaho Commission for Libraries

The Library can help the sight-impaired unable to read regular print material receive books and magazines in cassette format.  The service from the Idaho Commission for Libraries is free to those who qualify.

KinCare Coalition

Ombudsmen are advocates for the elderly who investigate complaints and respond to requests for assistance from older individuals living in long-term care facilities as well as from those living in the community in residential care or assisted living facilities. Ombudsmen provide services to protect the health, safety, welfare and rights of the elderly. Ombudsmen are dedicated to enhancing the lives of long term care recipients.

The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) is a program designed for people over 55 that matches a person's interests and expertise with all types of volunteer community projects. Through RSVP, a person can make new friends while contributing time to make their community a better place for everyone.

Senior Health Insurance Benefits Advisors (SHIBA) help seniors with decisions about health care options. SHIBA can help with Medicare and private insurance information. SHIBA is also known as SHIP - Senior Health Insurance Program.
